Hello,
My name is Benjamin Sunkyong Kim and I’m a freelance photographer, visual artist, and digitech based in New York City. I earned my BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts graduated in 2018. I'm more like a creative person but also technical as well which makes me unique.
I was born in Tokyo, Japan, where my Korean parents were studying at the time. Due to my father’s job as a professor and scientist, my family moved frequently, primarily residing in Seoul, South Korea, before relocating to Golden, Colorado, in 2008. A pivotal moment came in 2009 when we moved to New York City, and I’ve been based in Queens for over 15 years. But I still miss Seoul, South Korea.
When I was in high school, I thought my fate was sealed and my future was somehow doomed as I keep failing my family and freinds to death because of my failures. But now, I’m happy that I have chosen my own destiny as a creative person, working in different career paths, showing people that there is more than meets the eye by proving myself worthy.
I look forward to expand my careers to pursuit my own happiness and work/collaborate with people as a creative person.
